In San Diego, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across California do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 4–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. This restaurant is unique for many reasons... but the easiest way to describe it is that you will not have a meal, you will have an "experience." And hopefully you will not forget it. The quality of the ingredients, the creativity of presentation and execution of food and beverage, the engaged staff providing unobtrusive yet genuine and attentive service. Choosing this restaurant was spontaneous, so the lasting impression it gave us will be memorable. And we will return again because the regret of not having pasta finished and served out of a cheese wheel will haunt me forever! Our server was Vincenzo, our server assistant was Natalia, the bartenders made delicious cocktails, the hosts and support staff were also fantastic. Pictures included: Fiori Di Zucca (zucchini blossoms), Pappardelle Ragu Di Roma, Tiramisu Don't miss out on adding this gem to your list of places to go if visiting, or if you are a local. It will not disappoint!

A wonderful experience at this Little Italy gem. Fortunate to be able to enjoy a nice meal when traveling for work. My server Enzo was delightful! When I told him my meal brought back treasured memories of my visit to Italy he was kind and asked me what parts of Italy I had experienced sharing that he is from Sicily and encouraged me to return to Italy and experience it for myself. I had a perfect drink, an Augustus Sour with just the right amount of everything! The Cacio e Pepe homemade chips were delightful; served to each table as a snack to enjoy while selecting from the menu. The artichoke ravioli were perfect; the ravioli the right amount of al dente with a scrumptious filling of artichoke and mozzarella topped with a not too heavy pesto cream sauce. Thank you Enzo and Roman Wolves for making my dinner while traveling a very nice way to begin the work week ahead.

We had an amazing experience. Vincenzo and his serving assistants were so kind and helpful. He made us feel so welcomed and was a great help with recommendations. We had a great dinner, and happy hour! The food was amazing, highly recommended the PAPPARDELLE RAGU DI ROMA. The cocktails were great as well. They even gifted us a cannoli for my birthday :) 10/10 would recommend.

With the Fourth of July’s Big Bay Boom fireworks on the agenda, my family and I wanted to kick off the evening with an authentic Italian dinner in San Diego’s Little Italy. As first-time visitors to Roman Wolves, its outstanding reviews immediately caught our attention, and after reserving a table through Beli, we were seated almost immediately despite the restaurant being packed. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. Our server, FabrΓcio, welcomed us with genuine hospitality and made us feel like valued guests throughout the entire evening. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offered excellent recommendations, and his friendly personality elevated an already fantastic dining experience. Outstanding service deserves recognition, and FabrΓcio absolutely delivered. We started with the Mozzarella in Carrozza, featuring perfectly fried mozzarella served alongside a roasted heirloom tomato sauce. It was crisp on the outside, wonderfully melty inside, and tasted incredibly fresh. For our entrΓ©es, my wife ordered the Gnocchi Alla Vodka, which arrived piping hot with pillowy-soft gnocchi coated in an exceptionally creamy vodka sauce bursting with flavor
